Black Belt Buddy Program

I am recommending to all our Black Belt Candidates to find (or ask for help finding) a Black Belt buddy or tutor to help them with their Black Belt test preparation.  This has worked very well for many of our students.  It is difficult to prepare on your own or solely with group classes for a big test like the Black Belt test.

One example of the Buddy Program working is, Connor, whose parents felt that Willy Goldstein’s help was invaluable.  Says Connor’s mother, Lila Gruzen, “Willy’s help and influence was like having a friend who’s a personal trainer.  His enthusiasm was contagious.  It’s great to watch your child train with someone supportive and encouraging who isn’t his parent.”

Tutor sessions are okay with advanced permission on the back of the mat or you can set-up times outside the studio.  If you would like help finding a tutor, please ask.

Tenets of Taekwondo

Self-Control – A Taekwondo student should never lose his/her temper.  One's skills, both physical and  mental, are seriously diminished if control over emotions is lost.  Moreover, one should never use Taekwondo except in self-defense.
